Lauren Maples founded the Bija Project, an early childhood educational experience in Brooklyn New York which challenges the "progressive early childhood model" paradigm. Bija draws "from a combination of progressive philosophies, particularly Reggio Emilia, Bank Street, Montessori and RIE." It's the Jeet-Kun-Do of pre-k.
